"Rottweiler person kept her pups on "Orijin Puppy" until 8 months, then switched to the adult formula."
I never fed Bear puppy food at the request of our vet. At four months old, he stood taller than me, but had been starved by his previous owner who wanted to get him to fight other dogs to be fed. When I got him, the vet wanted me to ofcourse get his weight up but worried about him bulking up too fast.
I really think it depends on your dog though. My girlfriend has tried her Boxer (who I adore!) on every "high quality grain free" food and she can clear the house with her farts. Shoot I'm surprised the neighbors didn't complain. ha ha ha. At 2 1/2 she gets the Kirkland food. For some reason, it's the only thing she does well on.
They carry all the food we use, Wellness Core Ocean, Innova Evo Red Meat Small Bites and they also have Orijen. If you sign up for their mailing list, they send out emails pretty frequently. I normally only order when they have 15% off days.
If anyone is interested, they actually have 20% off all Wellness foods until 5/24 and the code is PFV100.
When I first got Ninja, he was on Science Diet Lamb and Rice Puppy. He had a terrible smell to him. I switched him to Orijen Puppy and I noticed a different for sure, but his stools were never consistent and he had BAD gas. I think it was too rich for him. So I started him on Sold Gold Barking At The Moon, which he did great on - I also put him on Wellness CORE Ocean, EVO Small Bites, and BG Buffalo. He does well on all 4 of those kibbles - I switch between every 3 months or so. I also add The Honest Kitchen - I use Force, Embark, and Thrive. My dogs LOVE The Honest Kitchen...but it makes them poop a lot - so beware!
