Lilu will get spayed on monday
Lilu will get spayed this monday and we are looking for your advice.
Anything that you have experienced will be helpfull.
Let us know how it went with your girls...is there anything in particular that we should be prepared for after surgery???

Lilu is young and will rebound faster than you think. The hardest part is trying to keep her calm and relatively inactive for at least a week. Teren will probably try to engage her in play, too! Try to limit that.
The surgery is done very, very often and is common place for the vet but is a pretty invasive procedure for the dog. The incision must be kept DRY and CLEAN. If Lilu pays any attention to the site (licking, picking, scratching) she will need to keep the cone on to prevent her from infecting or opening the site. Make sure it stays "good" looking, no red puffiness or darkening/bruising or puss stuff..
If they give you antibiotics or pain meds, make sure to finish them as directed. She will probably snap back to herself within 2 days, but its imperative to limit her running, jumping, hard play for at least one week.
Stock up your frozen kongs now! And good luck!
It will be difficult to keep her calm...looks like Terens crate will be in use more then usual in next few days :-D
I'll report back here on her recovery.

She was crying a little but seems to be doing better with every hour.
I'll keep you updated on teh recovery process.
