You know, I have always appreciated Kai, but never was super interested in them. But my goodness, Kohji is adorable. I don't think I have ever realized what sweet faces they have.

    I WANT KOHJI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now after the Akita it is going to be IMPOSSIBLE to choose between Kai and Shikoku!

My friend met him when he was a puppy and there was some loud music playing in the house and the friend says "what's his name?". I say kohji and he says "what? Cochise, like the indian chief?". I'm like no KOHJI and he's like "Oh, goatcheese, ok, that's a weird name.". So his nickname is goatcheese. Kinda weird yet cute :)

Goatcheese is better than Toejam.  That's what a lot of people call Tojo.

Kelly - That's a great face! The "I'm so innocent and cute and can possibly do no harm" look. I love it!

Rachael - I'll make it easy for you, what don't you get both! There problem solved, lol.

Jamie - Gosh, I just love Kenji's dark coloring.

Peggy, you really have a beautiful family!

All these pics are great! The ones from Japan are just awsome!

Peggy - you pups are so cute! I love that last one... Shikoku are so "kissy"... its cute.

So the little Shikoku is Loa's sister right (from Katja's breeding)? She is SUPER cute.

Also - your Kai looks pretty big, I thought female Kai Ken where smaller than female Shikoku... What is your Kai's height and weight (just curios, trying to guess how big Kona will be)?

Thanks for the nice comments.  I have a lot of funtrying to take their photos.  It's tricky because they don't like to sit still. And they are always kissing each other.  I'll have to post some clips of my french kissing Japanese dogs.

Shuii is about 17"tall and 30 lbs.  I think she is average size.  The Shikoku she is pictured with is a petite young female which probably makes her look bigger.  I am sure Kona will be larger because the males tend to be bigger in size.

Lovely photos everyone! Peggy, I especially adore the one on the park bench with the beautiful RED tree in the background. Those are just gorgeous photos! You really should put some up on your web site. I also love the one on the rocks, that is a cool angle. Very neat to see all these photos!
