Affectionately Yours - Tosca

edited August 2009 in Shiba Inu (柴犬)
I have been a very busy girl. I had a week-long summer program thing that I taught for and it was a lot of work. It was fun, but a lot of work none the less. I guess all the stress caught up with me because I wound up sick for several days. I have a pre-existing thing and it just flared up, but it does put me in bed and in pain. About a week before, I had stared taking Tosca for a 3.5 mile walk early in the morning and she loves it and will wake me up for it no matter what time we went to sleep, but when she woke me up on Monday, I told her we couldn't go because I was not well. She was my nurse for three days, laying stretched out against me like a furry, snuggling hot water bottle. She stayed like that for hours letting me oversleep and put off her walks without one complaint or accident and never pestering me for anything. Shibas are said to not overly affectionate by nature, and Tosca isn't, but she does take excellent care of me. She is such a great dog. When I started to feel better, she got a little scrambled eggs and just a bit of turkey bacon for her efforts.

Sorry everyone, I just had to broadcast how wonderful my precious girl is.

Awww yay Tosca!!! I'm glad you're feeling better... I know how much energy (physical and mental) those damn camps can drain from us! You don't even realize it til it's all over because they're so fun when they're going on.

Tosca is the cutest little nurse ever :o) ... and now... I'm craving bacon, of any sort...

Happy to hear you're feeling better, and it seems like you had a great little friend to keep you company. I really do think they can tell more about how we feel than sometimes even we can perceive about ourselves.
