Red rolled leather leash suggestion...

Hi all, I am trying to track down a nice rolled leather leash. Something in red and no longer than 6 foot. The end clip does not really matter because I will be switching it out for a stainless shackle and spring clip.

Any thoughts or links would be great:

I make my own out climbing rope. It lets me put in all the options I want. My favorite one I made was one that had clips on it to shorten it to half length or even closer like a "carry handle". It was great in reall crowded areas. It also had a QD clasp on that was difficult to release, but could be released under almost any load. It also had A caribiner so I could clip into my riggers belt. LAstly, since I wrapped my own cording on it, I made some extra stiff points, at the base of the handl and just before the clasp. These were double wide with some heavy wrapping. This gives some serious control over everything. The rope OD was 13mm no stretch rappelling line.

I also use one of these when biking, running, walking, or skating. If you "slink up" the slack on the outer shell webbing, it bcomes a normal static leash. If you release the bunching the bungee inside is allowed o stretch giving you dog some extra distance or slack in case of an emergency. I changed from a flexi leash to this and tried to go back again...both my wife and I agree...flexis are in the trash. These give both control and freedom in a nice package. Mine is bright red.

I changed one of the 'biners to this to make removing easier and give it a good solid foundation.

I also have one of these on each leash. They blink red white and blue (or blue white and red if you are french). They are super bright and very handy. We also use them when camping. We clip them directly to the collars so we can track them easily when running amuck at night.

SniperX - I have a few that I have made out of climbing rope as well. Those Hogan leather ones are really nice -I need to check out the design.com one.

The plan is to swap out the hardware, for a stainless shackle and stainless eye ring spring clip.

Check out LDS Leather Company, they make really nice leather goods and are SUPER FRIENDLY & HELPFUL.

They made Luytiy's harness, leash, and collar, as well as Blue's leash + collar, and Masha's leash + collar. We have spent a sick amount of money at that store and I don't regret it at all.
