Yeah, I've been curious since when I saw Ahi for the first time (vid only of course). Their faces are just gorgeous and they seem to have quirky personalities which is cool. I guess I like a dog with some spunk. lol They seem pretty sturdy, for lack of a better word. But maybe that's just because of the small populous? At any rate, Shikoku are very impressive and striking to me.
YouTube's performance has been very volatile over the last few months, sometimes the site seems to crawl to a stop. I think Google has scaled back some resources for the site since it isn't a real money maker for them. That's just a guess. I've been growing more and more disappointed with YouTube's service since about this time last year. So you may be experiencing the same thing.
Some times I have to hit the play button, wait for the player to play the first second or two of the video, and then pause it. This allows the video to buffer before you start to watch it - you will see the gray shading/bar on the video "track" move to the right as the video downloads while the player head (the round thing) stays paused. Once the video is buffered a good bit, or completely, then play it - I think you will get better performance that way.
That solution addresses the issue of the video playing faster than it is downloading - this happens sometimes. It can be caused by a poor (slow) connection on your end, or from YouTube serving the video slowly (due to site traffic).

I hope that helps!
