Hey folks, I'm surprised this hasn't been posted yet, but NYC Shiba Rescue could really use your help!
For those of you who don't know, I got my shiba, Mylo, from the NYCSR over a year ago. NYCSR means a lot to me and is dear to my heart because of the way they have helped me enrich my life. With the recent financial situation in North America though, they have been having a rough time, and haven't been able to accept any new rescues. This contest could help them out A LOT! Below is a copy of the e-mail that was sent to me this morning, but I figured it would be nice for you guys to know why they need the help, and what they mean to me. Please please vote!

Calling all facebook users. NYCSR is participating in the Chase Community Giving contest on facebook.com and we need your help. I understand that this is the second fund raising contest we have contacted our volunteers for within the last couple weeks, however this one is even easier.
Chase Community Giving is a program run by Chase that will allow Facebook users to vote for local charities and non-profits, and help direct Chase corporate philanthropy dollars to eligible organizations. The pool of eligible charities in this event is smaller and all we need to do is make sure NYCSR finishes among the top 100 finalists to guarantee a monetary award. The eligible charity receiving the most votes will be awarded $1 million, the top five runners-up will receive $100,000 each and the 100 finalists, including the top winners, will be awarded $25,000 each. Additionally, a special Advisory Board led by prominent national philanthropists will allocate $1 million to the nominated charities of its choice.
