2 days!
Can't believe how quickly time is going by for once!!!
Just thought I'd let you know we plan on leaving earlier Friday, so we might be in Taos around 7-8ishpm on Sat. [ your time ] If we encounter little / no traffic, we might get there earlier, probably around 5pm on Sat.
We decided to have Bri take a half day off work so we can leave earlier, as we'd rather not get there around midnight LOL
Still debating whether or not I should bring the xsi & torture you & Jen with phototaking
Too excited! 2 more days, & we'll be on the road!!!
Too surreal!!~*can't believe it* ~

I guess we should plan on meeting on Sunday, unless you get here early enough on Sat. We will not be in Santa Fe on Sat. so we will be here.
You have our numbers, but just in case, here they are again.
home: 575.751.0207
cell: 404.786.4710
On Sunday (or sat) call us at home before you come over as it is very unlikely you will be able to find our house - also we need to lock the dogs down before you get here.
With any luck, it may not be that muddy, its been warm (50F) this week and things are melting fast, so hopefully it will be nice when you are here.
As for your cam, I would bring it, Taos is amazing, there are plenty of things to shoot.
Also, you guys should really consider stopping and sleeping in Yukon, OK. It's a good stopping point and by the time you get there you WILL be ready for sleep. Also, the drive from that point on is very pretty, so you may want to see it in daylight. Seriously, you will appreciate the stop, the drive is REALLY long.
See you soon! )

Ok, I need to calm down ~
[ I only ask as Tara has been pushing me to get a kai from the breeder she got Koda from. Apparently, Koda's parents are being bred again. ] <--- Which I don't want to do. Nothing against her breeder, but I don't know them. Never heard of them. Never spoken to them. meh. Annoying. It's hard to tell people "no thanks" w/out hurting their feelings. [ even tho I mentioned to Tara I would probably go with Marian /Classy ] arg.
Crazy. ~
As for Kai, I am still arranging my imports. Yes, we are still importing Kai, I had basically committed to it, so I need to follow through. I was looking out for you, and I have Shigeru looking for a 3rd Kai, if he finds one I was gonna see if you guys were interested. Also, my brother is in Japan right now too, he is checking some things out for me as well. I'll keep you posted. Don't get your hopes up tho, that is why I had not brought it up to you yet - I dunno whats going to happen.
As for the temp, remember, it is very dry here, and we are very high up, so 50F is not bad... probably feels more like 60F. You guys should plan on drinking a lot of water too - the altitude my really bother you. We have some tea that will help too, just let us know if you are feeling bad... its totally normal.

Oh, I see! Thanks Brad. If it's too much trouble tho, you know we have no qualms about going with a breeder like Classy.
TBH, the only real reason to import would be to help out the breed here in the US by holding onto some new bloodlines. But, we have no interest in breeding ourselves, we figured we'd just loan the dog out. So, for us, there's no real difference whether the kai comes from here or Japan.
[ unless there's an advantage to a jap import vs a US import that I don't know about?? LOL ;p ]
Guess we can talk more about it in person.

Thanks for the tip on the altitude! I forgot, you guys are high up!! I'm looking forward to dry weather, that was the one thing I liked about Cali. FL is awesome, but WAY to humid. Makes the hot hotter & the cold colder. ~
