Yes Jeff, both of those are sesame/red sesame. The color is basically a range/balance between black and red hairs.
For instance, both Kuma (light red) and Sachi (puppy) are registered as red sesame, but they are pretty different in color. Sachi's body is lighter, but her face and legs are dark
1. Red Sesame = more red than black hairs 2. Sesame = equal mixture of black and red hairs 3. black Sesame = more black than red hairs
So I guess Kuma must be a Red Sesame, and Sachi must be a Sesame?
It is also possible that a pup is born as a "Red Sesame", but will develop in some months into a "Sesame". So the black hair may just show months later.
