Wakka Before and After Photos

edited March 2010 in General
I thought I would share some before and after photos of Wakka. In less than 2 months she has gained all her weight back and filled in coat wise.

@Brada - she is more fox like than bear like. One of these days I need to do some photos of Wakka and Aya so people can compare Grace Garden Kennel with Shirai. Both have fantastic Akita but look very different.

@Ayk - I do not know. Puppies might be due out of Aya around then.(Side note: when I went to visit last week, all Aya wanted me to do is rub her tummy) Also Wakka is....how should I phrase this....a free spirit. She would go Ape $h*t in that place.

@everyone else - Yeah it is unreal how different she looks now. Easy plus 10pounds and a full coat. Not to mention these photos are really washed out. Both Kita and Wakka have fantastic red coats.

Actually, Wakka isn't owned by *JackBurton* and isn't staying at his place. Ben Herrera of Kobun Akitas is caring for her at his place. Wakka and Kita were a donation from Mr. Shirai to help build up the JACA/AKIHO-LA.

Wakka was thin and out of coat from whelping and weaning a litter before she came to the US. She wasn't unhealthy, just going through a natural phase that comes with raising a litter. It's hard to tell with the coat and the shadows, but she may actually be a tad too fat now.

    She looks great! Very lovely.

By the way, I have a dog named Rakka, so Wakka seems like someone with a speech impediment saying her name. :-P

She's gorgeous! And she's going to be part of Kobun Akitas?

Yeah Ben is the one who deserves the credit. He has done a fantastic job with all three of his Akita.
