Dave and I got to spend some time hiking with my buddy this week. Here are just a few pics.

Kona LOVES to hike, the trail is where he is most comfortable...

    I love Kona!!!! I am totally in awe everytime I see him.

    It's something about hiking. Koda lives for it too. In fact he's by the front door now sulking cause we haven't gone out yet.

    wow, thanks for the compliments on Kona! It means a lot coming from you guys. :o)

    Kona did great on the hike with Lucy and Joey, and he carried their water the whole way too! 8lbs of it!

    Very very lovely dog. I can see the Taco in the back, too. Mine got super super muddy today. I couldn't love it more.

    Awesome pictures I love hiking with Bella and Saya in our trails, forest, and the hilly areas in the forest going up and down is a lot of work which the dogs seem to enjoy.

    Kona is a handsome Kai ken and it's great you have such a great hiking partner.

    Between Kona and Koda I've been won over to the kai ken side they're such interesting breeds. =)

    There used to be a Working Pack Dog title available to any breed. They carried something like 1/3 of their body weight over 10 miles for several outings. (Elevation can be substituted for miles.)

    Now, I only see Working Pack Dog titles for Samoyeds, Siberians, and Malamutes.
