I read about these negative comments on the forum. I would also like to know if they are correct. I am looking for JA puppy from a reputable breeder. Any information would be appreciated.
There is actually much information on this forum that has helped me to locate NK breeders in Japan, though I have not tried to locate a JA breeder. The recent discussion/posting by JackBurton actually provides contact info for JA breeders here in the U.S. Perhaps contacting those breeders might help you to locate and contact their breed stock providers in Japan? You can access that discussion at this link:

Another forum member previously posted links to various NK organizations in Japan. I found the information on these sites to be very helpful in my search for NK breeders in a specific region in Japan. Perhaps you might be able to locate the information you are seeking through one of these sites:
Nihon Ken Hozonkai (Nippo) http://www.nihonken-hozonkai.or.jp/
I was unable to coax my wife to translate all the pages on these websites, but I did find satisfactory translations by "copying and pasting" Japanese text into Google translator. You will need a Japanese speaker to communicate with the various organizations, though and do keep in mind the time difference as Japan is currently 13 hours ahead of the U.S.
