Personalities and likes!

Damn I ask a lot of questions! I hope you all don't mind...
But what's the Shikoku's personality like? And what kind of things do they like to do? Are they easily exciteable? Playful? Do they like to play rough? (like tug of war and such..) Do they like water and swimming?
What do your Shikoku(s) like, and what kind of personality do they have?

I could spend hours writing about Himikos personality. But to be honest it is entirely futile. To get an understanding of the Shikoku you simply need to meet one. Everything I read about a shikoku may have been true but didn't even scratch the surface.

But Miko HATES the water. Positively LOATHES it.

Yes, it is hard to explain what they are like. :-)

I have 2 while they are similar, they are different too.

In general, mine are very quiet in the house, generally sleeping or playing quietly. I work at home and they never bother me while I am working at my computer. Outside, however, they are very energetic and love to run and run and run. And they PLAY VERY ROUGH. Sometimes I think that my male (who is older) thinks the female is too rough and too persistent. She is just relentless.

Both are very smart, quick learners. I like training and practicing competitive obedience and both seem to really like it, are good at it and enjoy it.

    But certain things are different.

Kuma HATES water, with a passion. He dislikes loud noise (like banging pots and pans). He is a VERY, VERY finicky eater and doesn't eat much at any one time. He loves EVERYONE, young and old and is very good with people. He would be a super therapy dog and I do a once a year Pet Expo with him and he is really great with 1 and all. He is especially good with children, especially toddlers.

Sachi LOVES water, and loves to splash and play in it. She doesn't mind loud noises. She LOVES any kind of food and will probably eat most anything. She is friendly, but shy and very submissive with new people. She is really scared of children and her fear goes up the smaller they are (and this is despite me taking her out and exposing her to kids ever since she was 8 weeks old).
