My Kekko never howls. My huskyes do it a lot and Kekko always looks at them like they are stupid ) and never joins them.

Taro's been howling lately and it sounds sooo cool. He seems to howl more when the Coyotes start howling usually around 2AM.

Noah says that dogs howl to music because it hurts their ears. Which I've never heard before... has anyone else heard that?

Heidi I'm not sure of that my dad's step dad said that, but The dogs have the upstairs or downstairs to go to if it hurt their ears..

Bella loves to howl when I play on the harmonica not sure if it hurts she wags her tail..

I just saw this too. Maymay howls like that. Koda is a lot different, and only howls to the sound of fire trucks. Yay since we live next to the fire station. he he

Bel, my 5 year old Shiba, is the only one who howls. She doesn't howl to the coyotes (her archenemies--she barks like a fiend at them), but she does howl if other neighborhood dogs get started.

None of my other dogs do. My GSD didn't either.

I don't think I have heard Josephine howl ever... maybe Kai's do not? Our former dog, Joe, used to howl at the ambulance siren. Not police, not fire though. I guess there would be a difference in the sound? Also used to be another dog in the neighborhood who howled at the ambulance. No howlers around now, though.

Koda and Maymay howl. Koda howls very differently than a dog though. He sounds kind've scary to people. Whoever is around usually jumps a little and does a double take. It's funny.
