Tribute to 9/11 Search and Rescue (SAR) Dogs

FYI, I once asked a visitor from Japan if Shibas were ever used for SAR. His reply: "They are sometimes used for rural SAR". (Since Shibas aren't tremendously reliable off-leash, I would assume that they are probably used in a tracking mode on long leads.)

For some reason, I'm finding that images of 9/11 affect me more now than they did a year or so after the attacks themselves.
