The funny thing is my Shibas act like that in the house....well, at least Bel does. She bounces off things just do it, runs halfway up the door then bounces from there to a chair, to the sofa, etc......She'll REALLY do it chasing a laser pointer, but if she's excited enough she'll do it anyway.....Never to the extent of this dog though!
That has to come from some innate desire to climb and explore right? I wouldn't even begin to have the faintest semblance of an idea about how to train something like that. How would you begin training a dog to do that stuff?
@dlroberts Dave, I really don't know, but I suspect that the dog has to have some tendency to climb/jump to be able to learn and enjoy this. The dog in the video (american staffordshire? Staffordshire bullterrier? Pit bull terrier? Some sort of muscle dog) clearly enjoys it and does it with impressive energy!
I wonder if a kai could ever be motivated to do this kind of thing? They sure would be able to, if they have a reason to do it (food, toys, whatever). But then again, afterwards, you wouldn't be able to keep them in anywhere! They just skip the wall and go explore! HAHA
