Singers found at illegal Path Valley kennel
A Fannett Township man recently was found with about 80 of the world's rarest wild dog breed, and experts from around the country are now looking to find them suitable homes.
The man has been cited for operating an unlicensed kennel and several other related violations.
State Dog Warden Georgia Martin said an anonymous tip led her to the Willow Hill property of Randy A. Hammond, 58, where she found 68 adult "New Guinea singing dogs" and a number of puppies living in dozens of outdoor pens and cages.

This is pretty sad the NGSD is rare enough they don't need to be in a puppy mill or backyard breeder type operation. Who knows how the dogs were breed and maybe inbred.. >.<
I hope they get enough money to get things done I don't have much, but I'll donate $20 and maybe more when I can.
I know this is a Nihon ken forum, but singers are sorta like shiba inu in a few ways. of coarse Singers and shiba inu are very different, but they do come in red, black and tan, and peppered coloring.. The B&T is not as common though..
It was Tom or Don that told me he saw a litter of red shiba pups and thought they were singers.
I love singers they got a couple of them at the local zoo near me..
Some of the comments on the comment page is crazy they think they should let him breed them and help him out and it's foolish that they are fixing the singers that are remaining at his place..
The gene pool is low enough they don't need these in breeding pairs due to their health and they might be really badly inbred.. >.<

Samantha and Don has said only 3% of the singers exhibited aggressive behavior and they were relatively healthy and had vet care to fix of wounds. None of the singers had any ringworm, fungus, mange, or allergic reaction evidence.
Sounds like things got out of hand for him and sadly lot of the media is messing the story up a bit.
Either way I'm glad they're being rescued..
He may be a nice guy, but damn, the way those dogs were being cared for is not right....not living in cages and crates like that.....So yeah, I'm glad they're getting rescued too.....
