Freezing organs of wild game...

Hi everyone. I've been killing and butchering lots of wild game lately. I've got 2 deer in the freezer and 1 on the way. Also, I have lots of small game.
Here's my question. The...uh...leftover bits of what I kill (heads, hearts, livers, lungs, and intestinal tracts) are in freezer bags on the "dog" side of the freezer. How long do I need to freeze these bits in order to feed them to the dogs raw? I'm concerned about killing parasites.
Anyway, if anyone knows for how long I have to deep freeze before feeding, help me out. Thanks!

  • Everyone has a different time range I've noticed. I've heard that you can go as short as week to as long as a month. My mom will freeze meats before she makes meals out of them (she likes her meat bloody) for at least a month.
  • I've frozen a blue gill I caught for Saya for four weeks I probably did it too long, but wanted to be safe..
The fish was gutted though only had it's head.

  • As far as raw for the dogs goes, I usually freeze for at least a month. Preferably 2.
  • 2 months, huh? Pretty long time, but I guess better safe than sorry. I guess when spring comes, I'll still have some free meat sitting around. I'm glad I date all the stuff in the freezer.
