Kotomi IS a "small dog" at 36 lbs and 18.5 inches. She qualifies as a "pocket pet" but then if I carry my female Shikoku around what excuse do I have for getting a female Kai? -grins-
Kai Ken are slow to mature though, right? Perhaps those females I saw that were a bit on the smaller side for Kai were older adolescents/young adults? I don't know, I didn't ask! It just seemed that Kai tend to range in sizes, specifically speaking female Kai Ken (all the males I've seen seem to be of "average" size).
Whatever happened to our growth chart? It be awesome to start topic on forum members Nihon Ken growth rates =].
