Probably cause it was moved to a category (shiba inu) that is "closed" since the shiba inu has it's own forum now.

I tested and can post in it. When Brad signs on maybe he will have more insight. The category "shiba inu" is not closed. You can still post "shiba" posts. There is just now a shiba forum so most people choose to do that there. So as for your question Kadmos, I do not have an answer. I checked your permissions and I see no reason. I will mention it to Brad if I talk to him before he signs on.

Jess- there isn't a Shiba category that I can get to, I tried starting a new discussion but that category is hidden for me.

Hmmm. Maybe only admins. That'll do it. I don't want to change the permissions on that. That is Brad's call and if he closed it, than it shall remain so.
@Kadmos, everyone else has been just posting on the thread Shigeru started called "Breed Write Ups" why don't you just do that.

I guess I can open up the Shiba cat. It just to just redirect to the Shiba forum, but with the forum upgrade that logic was changed.

Thanks for the answers. It seemed it was the forum upgrade is what caused something to go wrong.

No it was deliberately closed. The only people who can post in shiba category are admins. As I suggested just post in the "Breed Write Ups" thread if you have any feed back regarding one of the breed threads.
