Crufts

edited March 2011 in General
this weekend was the uks biggest dog show of the year, its a great place to go meet new and old friends plus get to drool over lots of amazing looking dogs of all breeds.
as part of the show the kennel club have a number of displays for people to watch on different activities including the kennel clubs good citizens training scheme. i was asked to take part with athena as part of the team for the puppy foundation so on sunday we headed down. was a super long day but we had great fun, she loved strutting her stuff. my mum recorded the displays for me quailities a bit poor but this is the first of 3 displays we did. apologies for the length of it as well

unfortunatly because of been commited i didn't get to watch much of the akitas or the japanese akita inus in the ring, but was really pleased with some of the results, athenas half sister won best special junior bitch and her sire won best of breed.

not sure if anyone is really intersted in all the results but this is the link just in case.

  • I would love to enter the Crufts someday but unfortunately it's so difficult to import dog to UK. They should lower the regulations during this show. But maybe the Kennel Club just wants to keep the tittles by themself ;). This years regulations about the best of breeds vet check was a great innovation. Oh, and those Akitas look wonderful.
  • to be honest with the pet passporting scheme its not that hard you just need to prepare in advance.
