Training Entertainment

edited March 2011 in Behavior & Training
What are some TV shows or documentaries or seminars or whatever that rival The Dog Whisperer for production value and entertainment? I'm trying to help someone move past the CM philosophy, and I've tried quoting experts and lending her reading material, but she doesn't care what the experts have to say because I "just got it from the internet" and she won't read anything. So, for someone who refuses to do anything but watch TV, is there something educational out there?

  • There's It's Me or the Dog on animal planet. That's Victoria Stilwell's show.
  • It's better than CM most definitely. I don't really watch dog training shows, but my niece likes to and Stilwell is who I recommend to her. Thankfully my 9 year old niece thinks CM is a bully to dogs. He made her almost cry once.
  • Definitely Me or the Dog, not only is there positive training techniques but also it's not as serious as CM and has some comedic parts.
  • Yup, I'm for It's Me or the Dog too. WAYYYY better than CM
  • I'll agree with all the others, Victoria may not have the right answers for everything, but she uses positive methods and her programme is entertaining and educational at the same time :)
  • Me or the dog.
