Shikoku in Hanna?

edited April 2011 in General
I just watched the movie Hanna last night (it was pretty awesome).

At about 0:09:20 - 0:09:35 the lead character is seen petting two dogs. Are these dogs Shikoku? Agouti Sibes? It's hard to tell because it's all of about 10 seconds, and you can't see their whole bodies. I took some screenshots but they're terrible quality. What do you guys think?

  • They might be one of those "wolfdogs" that some people are obsessed with making.
  • They didn't look like "wolfdogs" though. They were definitely agouti-colouring, like a rich akagoma Shikoku.

Reviewing, though, I think they had too much of a stop to be Shikoku. I almost thought sesame Shiba, but they look bigger than a typical Shiba would be.
  • The faces look a lot like agouti sibes to me. I'm reminded of the agouti picture they have on wiki.

  • It does look Shikoku-ish to me. Also, the breed is being selected for a bit more stop in NIPPO these days (less like Ahi).

  • I love agouti color didn't know huskies could have that coloring? Nice.

  • maybe Seppala Sled dog? Either way now I'm definitely going to see Hanna.
  • Speaking of Seppalas, it looks like they are again on the verge of extinction unless admirers step up to take up the project. :-(
