That cracked me up (though poor Zami needing surgery!) My Akita (actually Shibas too) are very much in the "why would do repetitions" in terms of training. My male Shiba was worse. He's like HEY! I DID IT! (once). No need to do it again!
My Akita also does the flattening with the paw thing. Sometimes to a Shiba. It is unfortunate!
I loved the part in the blog, too, about having the dogs off leash for agility--yes, off leash is not the word Shiba people generally want to hear.
