Both Akita mixes were brought into the shelter by their owners who claimed they had had them from puppies and that they were Akita husky mixes. Dodger looks more like a husky with an Akita tail and chance looks more like an Akita mix. Its hard to get really good pictures of them as they want to run as soon as you take them out of their pens. We can scan them but I doubt they are chipped. The situation for these guys is critical. The shelter has been so overcrowded that they have been using temp cages to avoid putting down. Apparently this will no longer be allowed. So if there are no adoptions but more dogs are brought in, these dogs could be put to sleep tomorrow.
