ok, set up a flickr acct, but i see i can't upload multiples at a time so may switch to photobucket... Anyway, here are some pics - mostly of my new pup Kuma, but I was holding up all the pups too for Katja so she could take more pics to send to people.
@Calia - looks like you have one of the black and tans from the Fall 2010 litters. Which one did you get - the smaller or larger of the two black and tans? I visited Katja at that time and have a bunch of pics, undoubtedly including some of your Miyu.
@Calia - haha! ok, i just looked at my pics and they aren't stellar - the pup were not cooperating for pics and were moving around lots but i'm happy to send you some if you want them.
@the_november_rain - I have to agree...as soon as the added space comes along I intend to expand our pack by a few new members. I still have to decide on one from Kimi's next batch...was surprised at the size of each member of this litter; had seen previous whelps when four or more were born and generally there is some size variance...these pups were all pretty much the same.
@Araks - The focus was definitely on the pup. Kimi was almost brushed out in prep for her upcoming winter coat, but you can blame me for the back scratch that roughed things up before that pic was snapped...
@CrimsonO2 - Agreed...you can tell that it took a bit out of Kimi; having and keeping a litter of five boys...can't imagine. Now that the pups are weaned Kimi can put back on a few pounds in the right places...curious to see how long it takes for her belly to pull back to its former location.
I'm not sure where the last two pups are going; but there was one of the little guys that had some lighter coloration that was totally laid back and chill. When the others scrambled overtop one another, yelped, etc at feeding time or playtime; one just sat back a foot or so from the action, stayed alert, and took it all in...could see him being a stable addition to any family. He still came out and joined in when asked, and was quite happy to pounce on the 'hand spider' I made skittering around the grass; but he seemed to have a more mature attitude...well...for six weeks anyways.
@cmpteki - Was the litter noticeably bigger or stockier than previous litters? With Miyu's litter, Peggy had mentioned that they were all huge and thick compared to other litters she's had, was wondering if this Yamato litter was like that as well.
@cmpteki - yeah, that is a noticeable size difference, it would be interesting to see how they develop shape-wise. I know Julie (@jujee) when she met Miyu, had mentioned that Miyu looked stockier and not as leggy as Corina's (ShikokuSpirit) pups.

we have three of the new owners here that are posting, and it seems like 3 of these guys are staying in BC. i wonder where the other 2 are going.
