Great thoughts on this blog

I stumbled across this blog today written by Alison Smith of Paradox Australian Shepherds and enjoyed her entries. I thought I'd share with the forum.

  • Loved the blog on landscaping and kennels. I've been stumped for a while on my yard. :-)
  • Yea! I read that landscaping thing too! We really need to put some attention on that here, it's just so hard with the CO. They crush everything, and the Kai eat everything. I liked the idea of using raised metal planting pots (troughs?)...

  • Very nice blog thanks for letting us know about it.
  • I liked it too, and linked it to my blog. Thanks for letting us know!

Also, I laughed at Brad's post....the Kai eat everything and the COs crush everything! I do know what you mean, though my "eat everything" dogs are the Shibas, and the Akita is crushing things! Luckily, I have a nonlandscaped wooded half acre anyway, so it doesn't look too much different than it did when I moved in, but I do know how hard it is to keep things looking nice with dogs!
  • Conker eats AND crushes! I think I have a little problem here...
Metal pots might work. But if the Kai find them fun to jump in that could be a problem. Juneau loves to jump into our planters, that is something we were never able to train out of her. I imagine an army of Kai would be worse.
  • Lol, Brad.
  • And if you do venture to put green stuff in the dog area, make sure that the plants are non-toxic to dogs.
  • Love it ....thanks for sharing.

  • and sometimes I think it's not about just making them non toxic to dogs, but not tasty for dogs. I'm astounded by the things my dogs will eat. I thought rabbits were eating the hollyhocks, until I saw Toby chowing down on them one day! And Bel ate a pumpkin plant as well as bunch of bean plants.

They don't eat herbs, though, so I've had better luck with them.
