Opinions on this dog shampoo anyone who is into herbal stuff for dogs..
Well the petsmart near me used to sell Earthbath and now they don't have it so I went to the health food store they sell organix, herbs, free ranged meats etc.
Well I saw this one dog shampoo the ingredients looked nice I looked up one herb I didn't know. Everything looks good, but on the herb book it said it can be toxic..
I dunno much on this herb.
The shampoo says it's good for controlling fleas, ticks, lice and flies.
One reason I got it thought it'd be nice try a natural shampoo..
It's called Lavaggio PRIMA Animal Lovers Warrior formula.
95% extract of Rosemary, Thyme, Pennyroyal, Lavender, Eucalyptus, Sage, Aloe Vera, Potassium Cocoate Soap, Disodium Laurethsuccinate, Sodium Lauryl Sufoacetate, Diazolidinyl Urea, IPBC. All ingredients are derived from natural sources.
98%botanical extract
Pennyroyal is part of the mint family or something..
I got this from wiki. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pennyroyal
Pennyroyal leaves, both fresh and dried, are especially noted for repelling insects.[4] However, when treating infestations such as fleas, using the plant's essential oil should be avoided due to its toxicity to both humans and animals, even at extremely low levels
I never used this shampoo before looked OK so I bought it. Is the pennyroyal a issue as an ingredient in it?
Should I return it?
I thought I'd ask here before returning it.
I dunno much on herbs I know some forum members use herbs for natural flea tick repellent..

weird how petsmart used to have the earthbath wipes spritzers and shampoo now they don't have it just top paw, kong, furminator and martha steward..
I plan to return it shoul just had called the one pet store in the first place. ah well.
All I have to say about th pennroyal is that it a dog doesn't want to digest it whole. Look at Avoderm...avocados are dangerous for dogs.
