So, it was Kel, Andrew, Bri & I. Tons of fun! A bit stressful. A few dogs there that just shouldn't have been there & trying to start arguments.

Pretty good time tho! It was pretty trippy seeing 4 / 6 of the NK breeds all together. I think if it'd of just been the NK [ + Wraith lol ] it would've been dog playing to the extreme! Kel, we need to see about renting out a private field or something!! LMAO

Forgot to charge the cam, so it died on me after 30 or so shots. Only got a few keepers

@Yandharr - Ha! I didn't notice how much she looks like Nio... That's cute. That litter produced such a wide array of "type", it's super interesting. Haru and Nio are not very related (not at all as far as I can tell in 6 generations)... So that explains the wide range in "type".

why is it always the schnauzers that are the troublemakers?
ran into a very unfriendly one that started arguments with all the other dogs, the owner obviously didnt do anything and just stood there using his blackberry. i guess ghost didnt like that so he went up to the owner, lifted his leg and started to pee! it was so hard not to laugh.

@jikjak - That's hysterical!! Ghost did what we all wish we could've lol In our case, it was not one, but 2 schnauzers!

@shibamistress - it was fun, & a little stressful with all the trouble makers. Wish it could've just been us lol I still want to meet you & I still LOVE Oskar! He's gotten so big. I remember for a time, him & Wraith were the same size ~

Great pictures and video, everyone's coats are so thick and healthy! It looks like it was a blast! Yandharr pointed me this way from my intro post, I'm in Boca Raton/West Palm Beach and would love to bring Tsune to come hang out at the next one if you guys want more company.

@Yandharr - I will not be bringing Fate [ shikoku ] next time tho. It was an experience that effected him too much, & he's been acting like a jerk to the other dogs since I brought him home. [ slowly getting better as time goes on tho ] Just don't think he's a good "dog park" dog. ~

That's a good question, & TBH, I'm not 100% sure tho I do have a few theories. First, I'll qualify by saying Fate is generally good with dogs. Dogs that I've brought to my home are ignored, or played with...dogs on-leash are ignored, unless we get close...then he'll either sniff or initiate play, both on walks & at the vet / pet store / etc.

I think the dog park was a mess for him for a couple of reasons. First, it was an all-new place, which tends to make him nervous in general. Second, there were a TON of dogs. I think it was too much excitement for him, like he got over stimulated and wasn't sure what to do. When there were less dogs, he did much better. When there were more, he did worse.

The other thing was we started off in the small dog side where most of the dogs were too small coupled with very rude / reactive. They set Fate sort of on-edge, to where any dog that so much as touched him he flipped out on. After a while, I took him over to the big dog side where he did much better. [ a huge GSD came up & sneak-humped him & he didn't do anything the whole time LOL ]

However, he was still sort of "revved up" from all the reactivity in the small side...so on the way home he bickered with Wraith & Dragoon, & this continued on for a while. [ looks like it's finally stopped ] Bare in mind, he's NEVER done this with Wraith or Dragoon before.

I figure taking him back can lead to one of two things, unfortunately, both in the extreme opposite directions. Either, 1. He'll get better at the dog park, or 2. he'll get worse. Unfortunately, him getting "worse" seems to effect how he acts at home too, so it's not really a risk I'm willing to take. There were just too many dog-reactive dogs at the park, so it's not worth it.

That said, if it had just been Wraith, Fate, Dragoon, Rusty, Ciqala, & Saru...maybe a few other polite dogs, I think he'd be ok. However, when there's around 50+ dogs all running around playing, some acting aggressively like at the dog park, just not a good place for him to be, if you know what I mean.

@sangmort - Yeah, he was pretty overwhelmed when we first got in there, huh. I think small, calm, doses are probably best. Too bad there weren't any fenced in places NOT purposed for dogs (stupid schnauzers). yeah, I'm a NK elitist haha, apologies to any schnauzer owners. The first time at a dog park is always kinda tense. I remember Saru was ready to kill any dog that approached him his first time @ the park.
Poor Fate:( I really didn't think it would stay with him like that. Hopefully he's getting over everything fine and will be back to normal though.

Maybe our next meetup can be on a cool weekend or later in the year when it cools down.

@Yandharr - Oh yeah, that'd be awesome! We should see about renting out a field or something too for cheap. That's be pretty wicked, & with just the NK [ plus Wraith, the fake giant kai ken ] it'd be pretty perfect.

I MAY take him back again...right now it's not likely, we'll see. He's gotten tons better than where he was at the first few days after the dog park. Just don't want to have to deal with his snarkiness again, or put him in a too stressful of a situation.

I'll have to see how he is I guess.
Snchnauzers were horrible, as was that one shiba knock-off! Maybe next time we'll just go to the big dog side? There were less dogs & they all seemed to be super chill.

I take it the weather's been brutal down there too? At least you guys got the ocean breeze tho! LOL ~
