    Ahi is 43lb and Hilo is 70lb.

    Reeeaaalllyy? Hilo looks bigger than 70lbs. I was thinking closer to 90lbs. Actually. Ahi looks bigger too.

    yea, Hilo is thin - he is just now starting to gain some weight. Ahi is the largest a female Shikoku should be.


    Hilo looks like a dinosaur compared to the others. lol.

    Rachael talked to Brad and gave me an update. 


    Both of Ahi's knee's are bad.  The right one is worse then the left.  So they will be doing surgery on the right knee today.


    Poor Ahi :(.  I hope the parents are ok.

    Poor Ahi.  She is lucky to have such caring parents who are going to get her fixed up.

    are the knees a genetic thing? or common in a shikoku?? its so awful. poor Ahi! Jen must be worried!!

    Tenji is one month younger than Ahi and has different parents.  So far he is fine. We are watching very closely for any change in his gait.   We just hope that Ahi will be allright.  She is very young (less than 2), so she has that going for her. We know of one other Shikoku with similar issues.  This Shikoku and Ahi have the same parents.
