I watched it with the sound off to see what they actually did rather than get caught up in what the people were saying, so I don't know if the dialog is full of bullshit or not.
First Video I don't like how she was constantly correcting the bigger hound while she talked. Jerk, jerk, jerk on his chain... the whole time. About two minutes in the dog seems to be uncomfortable and tries to turn away and she jerks on him some more. She then forces the big dog into the other dog's ass, and jerks on him when he doesn't want to sniff the other dog. They switch positions, having the smaller dog sniff him... and still uncomfortable, he sits down. Both dogs are told to lie down. The man crouches down to greet the bigger dog... the dog tries to be friendly, and again, gets a correction. She jerks on him two or three more times while talking and fondling (pulling on?) his ear. The video ends with both dogs panting and looking uncomfortable.
Second Video I only watched a little of the second video because I didn't want to stare at it for thirteen minutes. I will say that its nice that the dogs are not being corrected non-stop and have looser leash and seem more comfortable. I think when they get close, the leashes are perhaps *too* loose; if one of those dogs was intent on attacking the other, the handlers are not in a position to prevent it or regain control. Would be nice to see them walking around together not necessarily walking the dogs straight up to one another. The three minutes I watched seemed okay.
In the first video the dogs show clear signs of stress and avoidance. Very typical of punishment-based training methods. If the point was to introduce the dogs so they are comfortable with each other, then they failed, as the dogs were clearly not comfortable.
The second video, I didn't listen to it, but from what I saw it was pretty nice. I really liked the loose leashes. I'm confused tho, which one was supposed to be "shy"? They both seemed pretty interested and comfortable with each other.
