It's almost like seeing a mythical creature. :)





I felt like I should post these videos since brindle Hokkas were brought up in the Yahoo Answer Shikoku vs. Hokkaido thread.

And as always, I apologize if my eyes have deceived me and that isn't actually a brindle.

    @WrylyBrindle - They would do great in your area. :-) Hokkaido the island is known for harsh winters, and the dogs' thicker bodies take the cold better.

    Brindle Hokkaidos aren't that uncommon. The chitose line of hokkaidos are almost all brindle and they are regarded as the better hunting hokkaidos and still used for hunting. A recent issue of Shiba magazine had a nice silver brindle Hokkaido that was just absolutely stunning.

    @WrylyBrindle Well, I'm pretty sure at some point I'm going to import one. But I'm leaning towards white.

    @shishiinu A silver brindle? That sounds awesome! Do you know what issue/the name of the shiba magazine? I've got a Kinokuniya not too far away from me and I might see if I can find it there.

    Wow they're great looking animals, I'm a fan of their sturdier frame while keeping the agility. I really like their vocalization too, the Shiba "voice" was one of my favorite things about Tsune. Thank you for posting!

    Oh man, I love the brindle coloration! I would love to own a brindle Hokka someday. Maybe I'll get a Kai first, but who knows :)

    If I were to do another Hokkaido down the road I would wait for a brindle, although I always wanted an all white dog so I am happy to have gone with a white Hokkaido first. But the brindle is so beautiful, very eye catching!
