Golden Gate Kennel Club/Cow Palace Show Details

Hi Shiba Lovers,
The Golden Gate Kennel Club is having its annual benched shows this month on the 26th and 27 at the Cow Palace in Daly City, near San Francisco. This is the only benched show on the West Coast and all entered dogs will be there from 10 - 5 both days, regardless of their judging time. The Shiba Inu Fanciers of Northern California have a section of the "bench" devoted to the breed and Club members will be there with their dogs for you to see and will try to answer any questions you might have.
This year the Shibas will be benched and shown in the lower halls so you will be able to stand at ringside to watch rather then sitting in the stands. On Saturday, Shibas show at 2:30 p.m. in ring 21 in lower hall D. On Sunday, they show at 8:30 a.m. (groan) in ring 20 in lower hall D. They are benched in lower hall A. If you miss the judging, don't worry as the dogs will be there all day.
There is no better place to see purebred dogs and talk with their owners and breeders. There are 1,249 total dogs entered with 135 breeds being represented, some of which have judge recently been admitted to the AKC, such as the Cane Corsico, Rat Terrier, Icelandic Sheepdogs and Miniature Australian Shepherds.
For additional information, go to http://www.infodog.com/jps/023/jpg023.pdf for Saturday's judging schedule for all breeds, directions to the Cow Palace and a map of the grounds. Sunday's schedule is at http://www.infodog.com/jps/1208/jpg1208.pdf .
Feel free to call me or email if you have additional questions. I hope to see you there.
