Thanks for the link, I'm waiting for them to open so I can call. There has been some really bizzar information given to me by the owners and once I get it sorted out I plan on making a separate thread because the info that I got yesterday from the owners do not match what I was told earlier. So somewhere there is a major disconnect with the info that I got earlier compared to the info from the owners I just received yeaterday.
Sorry, so to make a long story short I am now finding out from the actual owners that Kirin has been missing since August. I'm trying to figure out the major disconnect between the information I received in early January to what I'm getting now. The owner states that she did run away and they couldn't locate her all this time but the story doesn't add up.
I'm really not sure, I seem to get faster responses from our gold fish. The owners had every opportunity to let me know so wether it's some dishonesty involved or miscommunication, the behavior of the people communicating to me is really unusual.
@shishiinu- A really strange turn of events. Anyhow, did you have a chance to check about the dog at the shelter??? (I just checked the link, no longer there..Hopefully, Tikihut Akita Rescue has this dog. I checked Petfinders. Here is a link to a "Husky/Kishu Mix" in Marina Del Rey CA: http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/25247995)
I am with Stacey on this. Crappy thing to do. Or neglect to do. I dont know if I am more sad or angry. It must be hard to be a breeder and raise these puppies so lovingly and place them so carefully and with trust and have this happen. I mean, bad things happen, but...August? really?
my heart goes out to you Gen, and your family too.
@wrylyBrindle, I am the same way. I don't know if I am sad or angry. I think as a breeder, this is one of my greatest fears. No matter how much you screen a potential home, These things can happen. You just always hope people will do the right thing.

I just want to echo this. It is really horrible! I can't even imagine how you must feel--thinking you've found good homes, and then having someone be dishonest like this. And that's in addition to not knowing what happened to the dog. UGH.
I really appreciate everyone ones help and thoughtful words. Super glad that I have a community like this for support. It was so great in the beginning, Kirin was going to a family and they understood the possible challenges involved. I try to stay in contact with all the owners for updates on the puppies and when I didn't hear anything back from Kirins owners, I had a but of a bad feeling. But now I have no idea who to believe. Usually it would be simple and proper communication would take place but I'm getting different stories from different people who had direct contact with Kirin which makes it even more bizzar.
@shishiinu - I am so sorry to hear this. I can only imagine how maddeningly frustrating this is for you. I would hope that Kirin's owners will come forward with some sort of helpful or useful information. :-/

I'm so sorry.
That's a lot of time. I really hope she got found and is in a very active home.
I hope some good person found her and is taking good (better?) care of her. August is a long time to be lost.
