When London got bloat/torsion, the most exercise he was getting was walking around the yard and chewing on a toy.
Still, I'm super jealous of your puppy treadmill! I had wanted one for London once upon a time, but again, he sees any reason as an excuse to bloat. My brother would like one for his dog to exercise in the winter when it's below 0 (or when he knows he doesn't have time).
Also, Ghidora is adorable. He always seems really cool in his pictures.
Bijo got on the mill for the second time today. Speeds less than 1.2 mph are really awkward for her, she wants to stretch her legs much more. She walked for fifteen minutes at rates up to 1.8 mph. I am impressed with how good she was and how quickly she took to it. She was thrilled to get a bowl of rice at the end, too.
I usually have Koji start at about 2.5 miles/hr and peak at about 3 miles/hour while Maluko usually start around 2.2 miles/hr and peak at 2.5 miles/hr. Each session is usually 15-25 minutes. This is a good speed for both Shibas and they are trotting and not really running.
Yes, her markings are really good. And her ears are up! And she's got a lot of adult coat coming in! And I love how well she carries her tail when exercising, building good butt muscles or something. lol.

I wouldn't get all worried about bloat over such minimal exercise, but I guess it never hurts to keep it in mind.
