Conker's done similar things a couple times, but he largely ignores screens, no matter their size or what's on them. The other two dogs don't seem to even notice that they exist. They are all far more interested in the low windows beside the front door since there are often cats and/or squirrels that can be seen through them.
Neither of my NK do this, but Tikaani (my husky boy) tries to "hunt" the birds. I was watching a nature documentary and there was a scene with crows. The crows were flying back and forth on the screen and cawing. Tikaani took interest and attempted to chase them off screen, every time one disappeared off of the screen he would look behind the tv or outside the nearby window. Silly boy really wanted those crows.
some of mine will watch TV on occasion (Bel the Shiba mostly, and she is also very concerned and sometimes totally freaked out by any odd noises including tv or computer or anything). Toby the Shiba acts like it doesn't exist.
My friend's border terrier once attacked the screen when there was an animal on TV, but now I don't remember what it was!
Sachi takes interest for a second then goes and does her own thing mirrors and windows are more her style. I did watch a samoyed who freaked out when watching pbr and the bulls were bucking. Walking he watched intently, bucking he tried to rip the tv down.
Saya would get excited on the game okami whenever I made Ammy bark. over time she ignored it.
Nature show with boar noises, turkey, or whatever she gets excited for.
Tale of mari and three puppies she got excited when she heard the kids, puppy, and when the earthquake happened she did her warning bark that she does when she sees a skunk or any wild animal.
Steel magnolia is apparently on her watch list.. She was like this for the whole movie! I only video taped near the end.
