My Akitas respect doors and even invisible barriers -- especially Gryphon and Mosura. They will stand at an open doorway impatiently waiting to be asked inside.
You know you have an nk when you start the night sleeping on different sides of the bed and wake up spooning in some fashion, but you didn't start it...
@shibamistress and @wrylybrindle....it's not just with screen doors...even screen windows. If there anything interesting outside, forget the screen barriers!!

Yikes! But then again, Oskar broke a window trying to get at Toby once, so while he seems to respect barriers pretty well in the house, he does not if overly excited.
Retraction! I have to get off my high horse- I forgot about the time Juno chewed herself an escape hatch through an inside door when I left her closed in the studio.
You know you have an nk when you've been thinking to yourself in draculas voice all day "i want to pluck your butt" in regards to helping along a blow.
Ha! All four of mine are in that stage! One of my friends likes to come over just to pluck out the loose tufts of hair on them when they're blowing their coats, and of course, i don't discourage that!
I had to brush a tangle out of my hair and most of the hair wasn't my own. Yep, Rakka's moulting all right.
ETA: This also fits under the category of "You know you have curly hair when... random crap gets caught in your hair and you just shrug and brush it out like it ain't no thang."
