She is sleeping now, but sometimes just becomes a little monster. She gets this burst of uncontrollable energy and just goes and goes. She must have done a 4 or 5 hundred meter sprint last night which I thought would have been impossible for such a young pup. Kazuko taught her to fetch the other day and she is unreal. She will go and go full out for as long as you keep throwing the ball. I have also taught her sit, down and a not so successful stay. I will try to get some video of her with the ball for all the people who say NK don't like to fetch.
lol Sachi only plays fetch because shes sees me do it with other dogs and I think is trying to make me happy, it is very half hearted, if the ball goes to far she will let it go. if your girl is doing fetch get her to fly ball!
@jeffnkazuko Sounds like Yume is an exciting handful. I would love to see video of her fetching. That sounds super cute. And wow! The 11th floor? And I was just thinking (a little poorly) about late night/early morning potty breaks when I get my pup, and I can just walk out to the yard with no stairs at all. You have shamed me into re-realizing that I don't have it so bad.
That's cool she likes to fetch And yes, you should totally try Flyball. If Shibas can do it....I go to Canada a few times a year for Flyball tournaments, and it's a lot of fun.
Yume looks like she got a bit bigger! Saigo does the same thing Is Kazuko giving her a treat when she brings it back? Because I have to wrestle the ball from Saigo, but he does bring it back, lol )
@mapletwinkie Yes, she is giving her food. She has definitely gotten bigger and now sleeps through the night. I can't believe how energetic she has for being so small. We are walking her at least 10K a day and that seems to be about right for her. Yume never backs down from anyone or any dog but doesn't quite get that everyone doesn't want to play so rough. The only real problem we are having is with the nipping and biting. She is a huge chewer but also likes to chew on our hands a little too much and sometimes my hands feel like hamburger. She loves the tall grass, climbing hills, taking the roughest route possible and being dirty as possible, a perfect match for me!!
