As she turns one this week I though a little update and a few photos of Eris. So far she has turned into a complete love bug with everyone, she is rather over the top when giving her snuggles. she has finally decide she likes showing after a bit of a shaky start. she has done fairly well in both Champ and open shows with a number of best puppy awards and a reserve best bitch. Although our crufts judge wasn't overly keen on her only placing her 5th in her class. She has just started losing her puppy coat so can't wait to see what her adult coat is like. she doesn't have the best head but I do love her regardless.
heres a few photos of her at some shows and out walking sorry about the poor quality most are taken with phone cameras.
getting muddy ready for Crufts. she loves her mud baths
And been a good girl in the ring at crufts for me.
Just a short update, Eris qualified for Crufts 2015 last week. she was more than well placed, winning 1st in a strong junior bitch/dog class, then going on to win best bitch in breed and best opposite sex. i was delighted with her, even if she was a little unsettled on the move as it was her first time showing on grass. she also passed her KCGC Silver award in obedience so roved she is more and a pretty face. we also had her hips scored 8 weeks ago and am delighted to say she scored low. our breed mean average is 13 so ideally a dog should be lower. Eris score was 3:3= 6 so was happy with that. especially considering our vet was convinced raw feeding would have caused her all sorts of joint and bone issues.
Been rather a while since we updated Eris page, we spent a lot of time showing her had a great time and she continued to do extremely well for me. We decided back in 2014 that we would make plans to breed from her as i was ready for a new show puppy. We chose her a partner and made arrangements with the stud dog owner. Typically she came in season early so we postponed, then in October when she came into season the stud dog owner suddenly changed his mind. So our back up dog came into play. so in December Eris gave birth to 7 gorgeous baby sluglets, 5 boys (2 red, 3 brindle) and 2 girls (1 red and 1 white). I wanted another bitch and was hoping for either a nice brindle or red but as is usually the case the nicest girl was the white girl so she has remained here. Looking forward to future shows with both mum and daughter and one of her brindle sons who is also going to be shown.
