Introducing Sunny, the Queen of Eureka

edited July 2013 in Kai Ken (甲斐犬)
imageSunny adopted me from TUAPA (Taichung Universal Animal Protection Association), Taichung, Taiwan, with the help of Redmond Young of Northern California Shiba Inu Rescue. As she is a rescue dog I call her a Kai Ken but she is a mutt with all the properties of a Kai and as far as I am concerned the best dog on the planet. I really could go on for pages about her but she is expecting dinner right now so I am going to end this and take any questions you have.

  • Hey you! It's Tara with Koda and Mei!

    How's Sunny?
  • Fat and Sassy! She was a runt when I got her, 10 pounds less than her sister, Raven, who we saw last month at the Shiba picnic. She is now bigger (she is about 40 pounds, depending on how many times we got the the beach that week) and blindingly fast on the straight away, great turning ability, LOVES thumping Rottweilers, she has 2 at daycare she beats up every day, a 100 and 130 pounder! And one really good thing is she loves baths because she loves rolling in BAD THINGS. Racoon poop, decaying sea lion, deceased birds the list goes on.

One thing I am glad of about Kia traits that Sunny has not adopted is the climbing. She loves to climb at the beach or on stumps and logs out on the trail but does not do it at home.

So how are you doing? Where are you at?
