@brada1878 that's hilliarious D.J. Akuma. I'm pretty sure you could use that in the trance scene. Thanks everyone for all the get wells he is doing really well now. I have been working on "speak" with him it's been a few weeks but he's starting to get it. I want to teach him to speak on command and then when he learns that maybe have him speak when he trees things?
Well Akuma has found another coon and got into a fight with it. This time however I was not able to kill it. Akuma got bit a few times but not nearly as bad as last time. I guess he learned to fight a little better. I will be calling the D.N.R to find out if I can set a live trap and see if I can catch the coon. He would probably make a nice pair of gloves.....However I will probably have to let him go somewhere else.
@WrylyBrindle This time I was not able to find the two together. Akuma will catch the scent and run around in the cattails untill he finds what he is looking for. I however am not able to get through them as easy. Eventually Akuma came back to me. I don't know how hunters do it it places like these. His wounds are not to bad this time but I will keep you guys updated. I guess I will have to keep him on a lead for a while again. The hardest part in all of it is the location of the coons. If I was able to keep up with Akuma it wouldn't be as bad since I could help him out or get him out. However Akuma is so quiet by the time he is barking at something he could be a ways off through some thick brush. I need to get that boy some legit GPS and a bite proof vest or something. Oh! maybe a spiked collard so the coons can't get around his neck. hmmm hardcore.
I (Ana) gave him some pain meds and cleaned his wounds when I got home, did a warm compress and put antibotic cream on them. He's resting and is in better spirits now. It looks more like a lot of scratches and a couple puncture wounds, they are all around the snout/chin/ outermouth. The ones by his mouth are swollen so he'll probably have to go on antibotics and daily cleaning/warm compresses again. I think he found a den and wakes these racoons up and plays with grumpy racoons...o Kuma...they aren't good playmates.
How's Akuma doing? That's a really intense story!! Definitely keep the punctures well flushed. By the solution going in one hole and out the other, do you mean a hole in his muzzle? If it's anywhere else, like a leg, then it's just the skin pulled away from the fascia (organic saran wrap around the muscles), which is painful but heals quickly. I'm glad to hear he's feeling a lot better!
Akuma is doing much better. His face is healed up but has a bunch of bald spots where he got bit or scratched. It took about a week for everything to start going away but we used multiple hot compresses and antibiotic scrubs to make sure everything was clean. The first fight he got into his wounds needed to be flushed like you're talking about cezieg. Man that was hard to watch Akuma have to stand there and take it but this time it wasn't as bad. He still wants to hunt the stupid raccoons though. I don't get what his fascination with them is. Thanks for all your guys love!
Maybe there is something about raccoons that attract dogs to them.. Conker @Losech shiba likes chasing them..
Saya has treed two juvenile raccoons a few years back. We haven't had any other encounters yet though just tracks that she follows for a bit then catches up when we get too far..
Saya has seen a opossum too and she wouldn't move till I shone a light on it and saw it.
Glad he didn't get hurt too bad this time must of gotten better with dodging

I hope he's healing up and nothing too deep.
