Dogs in need

I was browsing on petfinder.com and I never realized how many Akita and Shiba mixes are on there. It is so sad. FrownI saw a few guys on there that thought I should post to get the word out. Indeed purebread dogs are nice to have, but these dogs need not to be forgetten too! Laughing

    This is Jester. He seems very fun loving and smart for only 18 months! This is his info on petfinder.com:



    Jester is an 18 month old neutered male Akita for adoption, sable/white in color and 80 lb. He is microchipped, updated on vaccines and heartworm and fecal negative. This sweet, energetic boy just loves life and grand adventures. Jester loves to play and can be a little over enthusiastic but we are working with him to walk nicely on leash and not greet everyone he meets with a big jump on them. Jester does know how to sit and lie down on command, he is very housebroken and extremely intelligent. Jester has all the great qualities the Akita is known for. He is good with playful, more submissive female dogs after slow introductions (he is too enthusiastic in his need to play with dogs initially but does calm down). Jester is eager for attention and nothing grabs his attention faster than a squeaky toy. Adoption fee and contract, home visit and reference check may apply.     Awwww....When we were looking for a second dog I wanted an american akita so bad but Chad said no.  We got Sasha (no regrets there).  He just isnt crazy about the AA's, but will kill for a JA.


    They are too sweet!!

    if we owned a home with a yard, i don't think there would be a shiba/akita in need within 100 miles of me!

    Just today there are like 3 akitas on craiglist - one is just a pup!
