Nihonken Invitational November 1st 2015 Gardena California.
Just like last year we will be holding show for the nihonken breeds plus a couple of our closest friends. The show will be held on November 1st, 2015 at Arthur Lee Johnson Memorial Park 1200 West 170th Street Gardena, CA 90247 (310) 217-9563. Registration starts at 0730 and closes at 0830. Show starts at 9am and we will have a one hour break for lunch. This is a UKC licensed show so you will need either a UKC Reg number or a Temporary Listing number from UKC.
The invite will be open to the following breeds - Akita, Hokkaido, Japanese Akita, Jindo, Kai, Kishu, Shiba, and Shikoku. We will be offering Regular and Altered classes. Additionally we will be offering the following other classes - Junior Showmanship, Novice, Stud, and Brood. For questions regarding entries and classes please email LeAnna Fox(Event Secretary) at events@akita-inu.com or myself at sean@akita-inu.com
Entry fees: Pre-entry fee is $20 with a deadline of 10/24/2015. Non-Licensed Classes are $20 and JS is $25. Day of show entry is $25.
Hotels: The Holiday Inn in Torrance is pet friendly. http://www.ihg.com/holidayinn/hotels/us/en/torrance/trrca/hoteldetail
If you need an entry form you can find it here: http://www.ukcdogs.com/Web.nsf/WebPages/DogEvents/Forms
For people planning on coming and watching the show we do ask that do the following: 1. No flexi-leashes - you must be in control of your dog at all times and the flexi-leads don't allow you to do that. 2. Stay clear of exhibition areas - you can spectate and walk around but please give the exhibitors plenty of space.
I'm working on a silent auction this year and I'll post trophy sponsors soon. I'm also looking at having a rescue area so that some of our local rescues can be on hand as well.

And if you have your dogs with you... enter them! We need the judges to see and have experience with these breeds, they wont get that if the dogs are outside the ring.

Do I just need those numbers for registering? And they'll only be able to enter the one class (altered) correct?
Can't wait to see you all!
Altered isn't a class, its actually completely separate from the regular show. All of the classes -- puppy, junior, senior, etc as well as best female, best of breed, group, and so on -- are duplicated in both "shows."
All you need to enter is the TL number. On the form, there will be a line for Altered Conformation, which you will write the appropriate class based on their ages. One form per dog.
