That's awesome Brad! Although, I must admit I'm going to miss laughing about the different ear positions in all of his pictures. You still have to put together that mutating gif of his head with ears in different positions.
Seriously though, he's become a really handsome guy. His coat looks so healthy and shiny and he looks like he's got great muscle. Yay Kona!
he has the most precious eyes. what is it like to own a kai ken? do they have an even more primitive disposition than a shiba or akita or are they similar?
His ears are still up today, so this must be the real thing. The other day his ears were up, but then they were down by the night. Its fun to watch.
I agree tho, I like him better with his ears up.
As for owning a Kai-Ken... they are like Shikoku/Akita mixes. In a lot of ways they are as primitive as a Shikoku, maybe even more (so that is to say they are a lot more primitive than a Shiba or Akita)... but then in other ways they are a lot more tame than a Shikoku.
He is more mellow in the house than Shikoku, more like an Akita, but he mos def posses the Shikoku persistence and even takes it to a higher level. If he wants something he will not just give up like, for example, a Shiba or Akita would. this is a very primitive quality and can be rather frustrating to live with.
He's a funny dog... he makes us laugh all the time. When he walks around the house he drags his toenails on the ground... it's really funny. I'll have to get a video of it. He also has no facial expression... just totally stoic.
