Yes, Aibo is still having issues. I think Mark said the most recent diagnosis was arthritis. He just had Aibo in for his limp and was prescribed more drugs for him.
I agree, it is rather bothersome... I mean Ahi is from the second breeding in the sates and will therefor be a little ahead of all the rest of the pups when it comes to issues that come up from aging or maturing. There has been a lot of breedings since Ahi's, so the majority of the pups are all still pretty young.
Hi, it's me Kevin. Yep, I live in Colorado Springs and it's a long drive, but will be worth it to get a great diagnosis for Ahi. Thinking positive thoughts! I'm not really familiar with any vets here as King is still really new, but I'm familiar with the town Brad, I've been here 48 years. If you need easy directions to your destination, please let me know. Mapquest usually gives you the LOOOONGGG way around town. Very frustrating since the Springs is getting so big.
Side note: I'm a licensed massage therapist and one of our 2 days classes was canine massage! It was such a wonderful class and we worked on the Portuguese Water Dog. Known for there non pet dander and humanish hair, so no allergies. Imagine a small classroom with massage tables and about 20 dogs and 20 or so people. It was a riot, and the dogs were all ages. My particular dog was a little over a year and not really interested in laying on the table for very long. Massage is just good and would probably be wonderful for any animal. Anyway, I'll find some of my old class information on the canine massage and would be happy to scan and send to anyone who wants it. I DO HAVE TO FIND IT FIRST, so give me some time.
Yes, we have all the dogs on Glucosamine. We just give it to all of them as a supplement.
I have not heard of the Musculoskeletal Support product, I'll have to check that out.
----
Kevin - thanx for the offer, the clinic is the "Veterinary Specialty Center"... seems like a nice place.
----
The timing on this is ridiculously bad since taxes are due right about that time, we have to pay a LOT, and our new Akita will be arriving around the 12th in Denver. I pushed Ahi's appointment to the 11th so that we don't have to make two trips to CO that week.
Bad things happen with the animals usually at bad timing. I'm close to maxing out my last credit card and 2 of my rabbits developed an upper respiratory infection *dies* Only good thing is that I have a job interview today.
Directions to the Clinic. Really easy and not to far off the beaten path.
5520 North Nevada Avenue
Take I-25 all the way to the Garden of the Gods exit.
End of the exit ramp go East (right) on GOGs road
Go past Mark Dabling Blvd (light)
you will go by a small pond on your right.
Top of the hill next light is Nevada Ave.
Left on Nevada Ave. (North)
The Clinic will be a short way down on your left by the Fellowship Bible Church and the Sunset Apartments.
If you get to the Harley Davidson Dealership, you've gone too far.
Good luck with Ahi, my guess is they won't find anything and you'll just have a lovely trip to Colorado. I guess I didn't ask if you've been to Colorado Springs before or seen any of the sights? If not and the weather is nice you should head to the Garden of the Gods for a hike. It's beautiful. http://www.gardenofthegods.com/
Thanx so much Kevin! I have never been to Colorado Spring, we are stoked to go... but under these circumstances it kinda sux. I REALLY hope it ends up being nothing and we can just take her for a nice hike at Garden of the Gods, I have seen pics and it just looks really cool! Thanx again!
As for my taxes, I spoke to my accountant and she seems to think I will not have to pay to much... so we will see. She always waits to the last second to tell me... so it's stressful.
We just got CARE credit (something we should have done a while ago) in case we end up getting hit too hard to cover the surgery w/ taxes and Eriko's (Akita puppy) shipment (it's 1500 EUR!).

Ahi is really starting to worry us tho, now she seems to be favoring her front leg too. We are taking her back to the vet tomorrow to see if maybe she hurt it or stepped on it or something.
It is really painful to see Ahi hurt, she is so tough we just don't know what to do. It's rather upsetting.
Oh no, poor baby! I'll pray it isn't anything at all and that you will be able to get good news and can enjoy the moutains a bit while you are here. You need to go to Manitou also, which is just up the road from Garden of the Gods. You will love it.
Please let us know how the appointment goes tomorrow.
Brad, as weird as this may sound, the fact that she is now favoring a different leg is probably good news. One of the tell-tale signs of pano is that it switches legs every so often. So, not that its good that she may have pano, but its better than an alternative that would have expensive surgery associated with it.
I hope you get to do your hike in Garden of the Gods. I've heard its awesome!
Well we got back from the vet, it seems she got stung by a scorpion on her front right paw. She will be fine, but she is in a bit of pain. We got antibiotics and pain meds for her.
As for the back legs, they are still an issue and we still need to see a specialist.
She just looks bad right now, she is blowing her coat, limping, and acting different because she is not feeling well... so she looks like we just took her in from off the street. poor thing.
She is feeling better, she is playing and getting belly rubs again. Her back legs obviously still hurt her tho, but we will know more about that in a few weeks!

Brad, did Mark say whether Aibo is still having problems? This is really bothersome.

Good luck Ahi! Everything will be fine.
Brad - Just wondering, do you have Ahi on any Glucosamine yet?
Also, Standard Process came out with a Musculoskeletal Support product:
http://www.standardprocess.com/display/VeterinaryCatalog.spi?ID=342
I haven't tried it yet, but if you can find someone to get you Standard Precess out there it might be worth it.
Poor Ahi, I hope they can figure out what is wrong.

seems Ahi is feeling a little better:
That's great Brad. It does look like she is feeling better.
And Kaia is such a cutie! Just sitting there with that "pet me! pet me!" face. I love it.
great to see that Ahi is up to her "wild child" self.....POOR HILO.
