They are all terrific! I love Ichabod especially, but there's also no denying the perfect rich color and head on the leftmost pup! (as far as this mutt and kai owner knows, anyway. Never met a JA in my life...)
They're all great looking pups! To echo @WrylyBrindle, how do the coats grow out? If rich colors as a pup, they lighten as they get older? Whereas less rich colors as a pup will darken as they grow?
Reds are born darker than their adult color, regardless what shade that is. Although there is such a thing as too dark, being too light is a very common problem right now. So often you look for the darkest puppy.
My puppy was the darkest in the litter. Right now at 10 weeks old he has a brown-grey color, and he looks much more lighter than his siblings. However his coat is really dark grey near the roots of his hair, when we wash him, he almost becomes black. We will see how his color will change in the future and we can use this as a case study... But right now his red pigment is really light.
I also have noticed that the pictures really bump up the red color, it looks really red in the pictures.
