Zora had a big day of socializing today. She went to my friend's house and met her two dogs (7 month old Golden retriever and 2 year old Border Terrier). She went to Starbucks, and to Lowes, and drew a crowd everywhere, but especially in Lowes, where she stood up in the cart like a little hood ornament and wagged her tail at everyone:
She doesn't quite get "four on the floor" yet, but she looks pretty cute standing up on two legs, which she does quite often:
Overall, a very busy day for her. It's quite interesting to me how different her personality is from my other dogs, including my other Akita. She's probably the only one of our dogs who would have enjoyed Lowes so much....even Leo, who was fairly social, would have found it a bit overwhelming. But she wasn't intimidated by anything, and she loves meeting people--super friendly! (But her parents are pretty friendly, so that's probably where she got that from).
lucky that zora is so open to new people lol Miyako just woowoowoo's at people and its hard to have so many people try to pet her in my area because theyre frightened of her...the only good thing is that the crossing guard and her daughter who works at a different street get to play with miyako and miyako adores the mother crossing guard(her name is robin). So much so that she almost knocked off robins glasses from being excited to see her lol...I will most definitley bring her to my job in the city but problem is if one of the dogs are in a crate miyako will probably try to bark at them..she's not to keen on dogs being on the other side of the fence and I will also need to have a muzzle for her for the ferry ride...not too fond of muzzles but i even had to have nanooks mouth muzzled or tied up and nanook is very stoic but it was still a requirement :-(
