And wow, Jada is just full of energy and happiness. I wonder if you could harness all of that to power a small nation? :-D

Little bit late response from me but Im glad it worked out this way!!! Think there wont come any bad news from now on!!

Here in Vienna, they also scatter small pieces of rat poison on the streets, and in parks. And as you know, my Sophie as former streetdog eats everything she can find on the street. Everytime Im out with her Im in high-alert-mode but even then shes able to find things to lick, bite in etc.(yesterday she licked the bark on a tree, there was some liquid on it maybe resin but it also could be pestizides)So Im really scared of the day when she finds something poisoned. I tried a muzzle but from the moment its fixed she tries to get it off, and shes a great escapeartist and wont move a milimeter...dont know how many treats I have invested but it wont get better :(
Ive heard that even on my local dogpark 2 dogs died one year ago, cause somebody scattered in the dogpark the poison.. Its really really freaking, how people dont think or do some things on purpose...

    RT @ LisaW

:\ It's a terrible way to use for rat control regardless but the shear fact that it CAN affect domesticated pets such as cats and dogs it shouldn't be allowed. I'm glad that you are very alert about it and I pray that your dog will not eat any if it escapes again. I can't FATHOM what the idiot was thinking with the dog park rat poisoning. Did you guys find out who did that??

I'm so glad the pups are doing well. It's strange - and rather frightening - that because the poison was put down before you moved in, the fact that you weren't told is absolutely fine. What if someone's child was poisoned by the same means - someone not knowing there was poison in their new place? It seems to me that that the presence of poisons should have some sort of mandatory disclosure clause.

As to lacing a dog park with poison, it takes a sick individual to kill pets at random.

It's been 30 days and I went to the Vet yesterday for blood work. Happy to report both dogs are cleared with good clotting times and seems like smooth sailing until next time!!! thanks for all the wishes and keep track of the two dorks @ www.theinus.com !!!!

Probably not Kristin! Jenny just started her full-time with clients that she now has to deal w/ on weekends =\

In other news, Jada decided to eat an entire pack of Orbitz Mau Mint gum with the Xitorol (whatever it's called) and she put me through another quick but less expensive ordeal =P Made her vomit like Animal Poison Control said and that was it.
