Tojo is friendly with most people, but super friendly with people he knows. He is a great doorbell in my apartment building because if he sees anybody he knows, he goes balistic! Our balcony looks onto the main door and he likes to oversee everyon…

Yeah, you're probably right. I think it's probably a natural evolution which was forcibly bred out in pointers and dobermans and other such breeds. That's why I appreciate the primitive breeds, more natural.

I think that some breeds get a bad reputation from them ending up in the wrong hands. Maybe we never have to worry about shikokus getting too popular. Once someone with no patience gets one, they'll give them a reputation and no one will want them…

Count me in! That's a fabulous idea!

This obviously makes me really happy as I'm interested in SAR and tracking, yay!

Sounds like they'll be perfect for me, too. I have a lot of jobs for my shikoku planned!

From what I've read, salmon is one of the safest as far as mercury levels. I read about that a lot while I was pregnant because they really tell you to watch your mercury levels while pregnant. Apparently, if you eat too much tuna, your child coul…

When things like that happen, I normally call the vet and they tell me what to do or if I need to come in. I've never had to go in yet, they usually tell me to just watch and if it gets worse, or they're vomiting violently, or if they can't breathe…

In Lethbridge (where I currently live for three more weeks) there is a place called Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens (http://www.japanesegarden.ab.ca/). It gives group tours and holds all sorts of traditional Japanese events. They also have "Japan…

Well, my vote is "I" for the name. We need a logo.

How would this work with the Canadian Kennel Club? All of Katja's dogs are CanKC registered, so I just wonder how that would fit in. I think it's great, though! It's a good way to keep the breed pure, in my opinion. As far as AKC, that wouldn…
