The owner of those dogs are Rommel Esteves on Facebook. The Hokkaido has since been fixed to prevent future accidental litters from what I've been told. Jesse

Kurama used to do this when he was younger (and he was neutered at 14/16 months). Doesn't do it as much anymore from what I can remember... Jesse

It's supported but I also think it's essential that new breeders form a healthy relationship with and be mentored/supported by one of the existing breeders. It's old-school respect to the people that came before you. Jesse

@WrylyBrindle, It's the fear of not knowing what to do. Every year we get a few more converts. Chaoji was super focused on his owner and every time Corina would try to handle him he'd actively look for where his owner was (at the sidelines). So o…

I would go with anything microfiber as it seems to be scratch resistant for dogs as well as can be treated to be waterproof. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PQLSKAK?tag=fb-kit-20 The "easy to remove" dog hair part is usually the kicker bu…

I'm not going to lie. Getting excited for this as it's always fun! I get better at not over-packing every year :P *knock on wood* Jesse

I absolutely love love love my Shikoku. They are easier than my Shiba in some ways and harder in another. Kaiju and Kurenai (Kiyoshi) are sharp, headstrong, and relentless in their line when they've fixated on something they want. However, as min…

Do you leave your dogs out a lot? You have to consider the temperature differences in AZ and WA will affect your dogs' energy levels. My dogs will want to laze about and sun themselves all day here in Southern California, but at night when the air…

So glad you and your family are ok and even more glad Rollo just rolled with the punches! Jesse

Ah gotcha...so you'll tighten and loosen the collar depending on function (collar only vs. martingale). I get it now. If you don't mind my asking, where can one buy that convertible collar you have pictured above? Jesse

wouldn't clipping to the ring attached to the collar mean that the collar (without the martingale chain) has to be an exact fit to the dog? Isn't it usually a bit more snug than that when the chain tightens? Jesse

My ID tags on my martingales are on one of the steel rings connected to the collar itself (paracord). I like this idea for a martingale collar based on the one you have pictured up top. Where could I go about ordering 1....or 3. Jesse

You're not alone @slkblaze, a lot of us (myself included) ended up with a Shiba from a BYB. My boy actually looks a lot like yours and behaves very similarly. Welcome to the forum!

Whoops, just saw this now. Hope you were able to meet with Corina! Jesse
